Brand Spotlight: ALEX AND ANI.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve been partnering with ALEX AND ANI to promote the wonderful organizations they support via their Charity by Design collection. One of the new additions is the Claddagh bangle benefiting The Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation. The BCSF works in many ways to support children in need through schools, community centers and other social service facilities. As usual, 20% of the purchase price will go directly to the organization, so be sure to participate and get yourself one!

But what I realized is that I haven’t talked about ALEX AND ANI generally as a (fantastic) brand. For New Englanders, it has been so cool to see a local company grow into an international one… especially led by a #girlboss! What I love about ALEX AND ANI is that there’s truly something for every one. Whether you want to rep your college or favorite sports team, or you want something more understated to wear everyday, this company has got you covered! And it doesn’t seem like they’re slowing down any time soon… #charmedarms are here to stay! Check out how I wear my bangles below:

I’ll admit – I have a love/hate relationship with blazers. I often think they look way too corporate and find they are difficult to style outside of a professional atmosphere (maybe that’s the accountant in me). So, I’ve been trying to put my blazers to use as weekend wear.

Here’s what I’ve found: 1. Roll the sleeves. Instant casual vibe. 2. Pair it with items that definitely wouldn’t be seen in a work setting – IE a crop top or distressed denim. Shop some of my top picks below.

  1. Topshop Slinky 80’s Blazer | 2. Zara Velvet Jacket | 3. Mango Textured Wool Blazer |4. LOÉIL Roberta Velvet Blazer | 5. Givenchy Blazer

The Fringe Jacket.

Continuing on the jacket talk, don’t forget fringe! I paired mine with head to toe sweats to balance out the ‘wow’ factor and make this look more daytime appropriate. To keep it even more casual, just toss on some sneakers instead and your next ‘grocery store grunge’ outfit will look like a million bucks.

Currently Coveting: Fall Wishlist.

As I mentioned in this post, fashion is not taking itself too seriously these days… Trends have been all about playfulness and, if you ask me, a serious ode to us 90’s babies and our middle school years: IE furry things, patches and pins on denim, and velvet slips a la Cher (the Clueless one, that is).

Check out these on-trend pieces that I’m coveting for fall:

(Those Minnie pumps, are you KIDDING?!)

Summer Culottes.

Culottes have become the glass slipper of my wardrobe… it doesn’t matter which brand, they fit like they were made for me. I paired them with feathers (yes, they’re still in!) and some slides.

Culottes: Zara | Top: Tibi | Bag: Loeffler Randall (similar) | Sandals: Target (I repeat: Target!)
