I have certainly never been one for themed dressing, but there’s something about summer in New England that just makes red, white and blue (aka – navy, maroon and ivory) feel so right.
The #1 fashion ‘rule’ I always break: white pants are only to be worn after Memorial Day and before Labor Day. If you ask me, white pants (aka head to toe) is for any season, year-round. Besides the fact that I’m a sucker for white, fashion is one of the few things that has no guidelines. Sure, trends inspire us and keep us ‘in the know’, but the important thing to remember is that fashion is meant for self-expression and we should wear whatever makes us happy… no rules necessary!

If there’s one clothing item of Summer 2016 it’s certainly the off-the-shoulder top – just ask Tibi who has created a capsule collection for Bergdorf Goodman revolving around them… I paired mine from Topshop with my favorite high-waisted jeans and this Zac Posen bag.

When it comes to versatility, a leather jacket just can’t be beat. Whether you’re running around on the weekend or going to an evening event, a leather jacket just seems to ‘go’. Not to mention, it’s the quickest way to feel like a cool off-duty model that the fashion world just can’t get enough of.
I paired mine – which is actually a vegan version from Members Only – with a (faux) leather dress from Zara (because why not do leather on leather) and lace -up sandals from Forever21. Even with the jacket, this whole look is about $235… a girl on budget’s dream!
P.S thanks to my giant pup for his debut cameo appearance! ( #nailedit)

Camel has certainly become my most loved color to wear. It’s versatile, luxurious and utilitarian for on-the-go wardrobes. So it only makes sense that some of my closet staples are this lovely shade of brown, like the well-renowned J. Crew cocoon coat and this fitted pencil skirt. Platform sneakers, like the ones I’m wearing, are (still) a hot commodity, taking any formal outfit from office wear to street chic.
